Job Title: Credit Control Officer

Responsibilities



  • Evaluation of Credit situation of identified debtors and credit level


  • Periodic review of age for invoices on Debtor’s account


  • Working closely with credit control manager on credit collections


  • Follow up with Debtors through calls, mails and visit on overdue invoices and encourage them to pay.


  • Periodic review of credit policies with credit control manager in line with global standard.


  • Report on doubtful debt on credit exposure


  • Follow up on the term of payment and condition agreed with customers or distributors.


Requirements and Qualifications



  • BSc / HND Accounting. Must have ACA, CIMA with at least 5 – 10 years manufacturing experience and must have requisite experience on any relevant ERP accounting software.


  • Understanding of the end to end Accounts Receivable process


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal


  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Management


  • Excellent organisational and time management skills


  • Ability to prioritise and multitask


  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail


  • Tenacity and ability to have difficult conversations


  • Willingness to escalate debt issues


  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages.

Details



  • The officer is primarily responsible for adhere to existing procedures for invoicing already established, generating invoices for all dispatches and Generation of inventory value on daily, weekly and monthly basis


  • He/she is also responsible for keeping a track of the inventory records and making sure that it is accurate.


Responsibilities



  • Adhere to existing procedures for invoicing already established


  • Generating invoices for all dispatches


  • Filing copy of invoices generated for Finance


  • Managing age of invoices with Finance and Credit Control Manager


  • Generating cost analysis of FGs inventories for the depot on the following:


  • Unsellable like breakages, congealed etc.


  • Sellable like good ones for both fast- and slow-moving stocks.


  • Monitoring all FGs transactions at the depots to the final stage.


  • Labour cost efficiency report for the depot


  • Generation of inventory value on daily, weekly and monthly basis


  • Handling receipt of stock of Finished Goods into the depot


  • Daily report on Invoice/dispatch/ expense issue/sample/ closing stocks-FGs


  • Establishing inventory control system in the depot.


  • Production of weekly and monthly depot performance report


  • Report on product performance on weekly and monthly basis


  • Determination of inventory -FGs replenishment level and buffer stock


  • Depot cost control management.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Conduct staff and partner training sessions tailored to the local LEARN context, discussing how proposed interventions strengthen project objectives and results.

  • Identify and engage relevant local stakeholders to support GESI work and assist in socializing interventions.

  • Facilitate GESI analysis and maintains ongoing monitoring and evaluation of gender focused initiatives and activities.


  • Ensure the project’s gender equality and social inclusion strategy is implemented in compliance with project work plan and client expectations;


    Qualifications




  • At least a Masters’ degree in social studies, business, international development, or a related field (or, alternately, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5 additional years of relevant experience);




  • At least 5 years’ technical experience in donor-funded gender programming.




  • Experience with education programming is highly desired;

Flowminder is seeking a project assistant that will work closely with the implementation coordinator in Nigeria on a project focused on capacity strengthening in Call Detail Records (CDR) data analytics in Nigeria.


Background information


The capacity strengthening in Call Detail Records (CDR) data project in Nigeria aims to build in-country capacity in harnessing the mobile phone data for insight to support decision making pillars and priorities of the government. The Nigerian government recently launched its first Mobile Phone Data Policy which outlines the goal of effectively utilising mobile phone data in the country’s development. This creates a more enabling environment than was hitherto experienced in Nigeria, regarding mobile phone data, as well as an opportunity to engage with relevant government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to support the government’s ambitions and provide guidance, advice and support on how to ensure that access, analysis and utilisation of CDRs is done in an effective, ethical and privacy-protecting manner.


Description of services required




  1. Meeting and Engagements




  2. Schedule and attend meetings with Implementation Coordinator




  3. Taking minutes and documenting action points in meetings and engagements




  4. Track activities and action points based on agreed priorities




  5. Develop draft presentation slides for engagement and other relevant documents




  6. Assist in the implementation of the project and maintaining relationships with the government MDAs.




  7. Documentation




  8. Maintain appropriate documentation of all information (both internal and external) relevant to the project




  9. Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, and forms




  10. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports

  18. Carrying out reasonable project tasks assigned by the Implementation Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience


Education


Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in management, social science, data science or other relevant fields.


Work Experience


At least a two year experience of professional work experience in the field of project coordination, management or assistance. Experience engaging with Nigeria Government MDAs at state and Federal is highly desirable; as well as knowledge of government processes.
