Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited was established in 1981 with Registration No. RC 37125 as a limited liability company specialized in all kinds of Structural Steel fabrication design & erection to the civil construction and Oil & Gas Industries, development and manufacturing of various semi-trailers, rigid truck bodies, which enabled the company to deliver complete projects of steel structures coupled with civil engineering.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Draftsman Engineer – Steel Fabrication & Construction Industry
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- Timely preparation of workshop drawings
- Prepare Bill of Quantity – BOQ
- Prepare program of works
- Prepare Method Statements for fabrication and erection works
- Visit Project site to give correct and accurate report
- Attend project meetings with Client from time to time
- Work with production to ensure the correct fabrication, erection and construction is done in line with the job drawing
- Prepare material list in compliance to quantity, quality and Clients needs
- Take physical measurements, calculations and observations and report same for correction and implementation
- Document all project drawings, client’s needs, review and amendment
- Send project progress report to all concerns daily, weekly and monthly as require from time to time.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5 – 10 years experience in steel fabrication and construction industry
- Ability to read and interpret shop and engineering drawings
- Strong communication, planning and organisation skills
- Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills
- Superior management and delegation capabilities
- Sound technical knowledge of project drawings and interpretations
- Issued project drawings to Factory Manager & QAQC and co-ordinate implementation.
- Participate to supervise fabrication and construction jobs in line with approve drawings
- Timely preparation of workshop drawings
- Prepare Bill of Quantity – BOQ and program of works
- Good knowledge of Engineering and construction drawings and codes, Practice and Regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
- Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design and Drafting Soft-ware, AUTOCAD and TEKLA
- Professional qualification will be added advantage.
