The Operations & Logistics Manager role is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on your city through the growth and optimization of the driver population on Uber’s platform. This is a critical role as it directly correlates to continually improving the rider experience through greater driver availability, while minimizing costs and streamlining processes associated with the supply side of our business. This data-driven role calls for a rare combination of analytical thinking and interpersonal ability to manage relationships with a very valuable part of our business; our driver partners.
This person will work with data to monitor driver behavior and ensure efficiency through asset utilization, product improvement and supply-chain management. This role is ultimately responsible for making sure we have drivers on the road, where we need them, and when we need them, at all times.
Analytics. Utilize driver data to understand driver behavior and areas for improvement in our driver communication, sign-up and incentive programs.
Develop & Optimize Processes. Take big picture ideas and break them into actionable steps with aggressive timelines for completion.
Product Improvement. Pro-actively search for bugs or new features which could improve a seamless driver and rider experience.
Partner Relations. Manage driver relationships, identify & attack problem areas for drivers, and negotiate with businesses for partner rewards.
Driver Support. Manage the day-to-day issues of thousands of drivers on our system.
Hustle. Take ownership of Uber’s growth in their city and do whatever it takes to get the job done


Job Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or similar field.
3-6 years of Strategy Consulting, Accounting, or Banking background with previous experience using data to drive business decisions.
Excellent excel skills, SQL skills preferred.
Demonstrated leadership of leading initiatives and projects at your organization.

  • Application, design and specification of wiring systems including conduit cable, cable glands, cable tray, junction boxes, instrumentation, heaters, control valves of all motors, and grounding.

  • Fault analysis of hardwire relay logic, motor control circuits, motor power circuits (120V to 480V 3phase) and common utility / lighting circuits.

  • Installation of new control circuits, modification of existing instrument/electrical systems as requested, to include design, load and Implementation of new control logic.

  • Fault analysis of Plc based systems with control logic modification if required.

  • Analysis of 12.47kv incoming power service.

  • Candidate must be able to communicate verbally thoroughly, concisely, and accurately with internal and external customers.

  • Develop standards, procedures, manuals, and other documentation for projects or internal use.

  • Make repairs to electrical power, motor and motor control circuits.

  • Routine maintenance includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Field fault analysis – determines if instrument has failed or if it is a process problem;

  • Field calibration of instrumentation utilizing proper test equipment;

  • Complete overhaul in shop environment to include component replacements, alignments and calibration to specifications of record;

  • Repair of signal transmission facility such as tubing, wiring, etc.

Responsibilities
Successful Candidate:


  • Candidate should be capable of understanding basic manufacturing process systems.

  • Capable of configuration and specification of electrical systems and instrumentation for hazardous areas.

Desired Credentials


  • Second Class Upper in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Candidates with knowledge in automation of industrial equipment will be given priority

  • Electrical experience is desired but not required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience
